New! Ranked Choice Voting
This year will be the first election using Ranked Choice Voting. This system allows voters to rank candidates in order of preference rather than selecting just one. If no candidate receives a majority of first-choice votes, the candidate with the fewest votes is eliminated, and their votes are redistributed to the voters’ next choices. This process continues until a candidate secures a majority, ensuring the winner has broader support among voters.
This also means there will no longer be runoff elections, saving you all from a prolonged election season. For more information, see the Redondo Beach page for what you will be seeing on your ballots
Didn’t get a ballot?
If any voter has any issues (didn’t receive a ballot, needs a replacement ballot, or other problems ) they can call the City Clerk’s Office at 310-318-0656 x2644, or email [email protected].
